MEDICAL EXPENSES AIDS

 

    We raise funds to help those who cannot afford treatment and medical expenses. At the moment we are working with the Paediatric Ward of the following hospitals in Jakarta :

1. DR. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital

2. Fatmawati General Hospital

3. Gatot Subroto General Hospital

4. Kanker Dharmais Hospital

5. Harapan Kita Hospital

   

    80% of the patients coming to DR. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital are unable to pay for the medical treatment and generally they are in the advance stage of the disease. Until now we have helped about 400 needy patients in greater Jakarta.

 

 

COMMUNITY AWARENESS

 

     ICCF increases public awareness of childhood cancer, it`s prevention, early detection and treatment through :

  • Seminars for public, schools and social health volunteers.
  • Courses for health professionals and paramedics, supported by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Indonesia and the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), among others.

COUNSELING

 

     We give professional counseling for the patient and the family, sharing thoughts and experiences directly with the other families who`ve dealt with the disease. To facilitate this counseling about twice a year we hold a GATHERING event that ICCF members and the supported patients and their families participate in. We also do social activities in the hospitals above twice a year by giving the in-patiens gifts and entertainments.

 

 

PROVIDE A PROPER PAEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY CENTER

 

    Our aim is to provide a proper, affordable and international compliant Paediatric Oncology Centers or Facilities. To this date we`ve made :

 

1. Fatmawati General Hospital

    We helped renovate the one-day care room and channeled funds from PT. Planet Hollywood in the form of equipments for the Paediatric Oncology Ward of Fatmawati General Hospital. It was officially inagurated by Fatmawati General Hospital President Director, Dr. Sutoto,and by ICCF`s chair, Mrs. Rahmi Adi Tahir on May 28, 2003 at the occasion of ICCF`s 10th birthday. 

 

   2. DR. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital

    We channeled funds from donators to renovate 7 rooms at the paediatric ward of the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, which were :

  • 1 Sterile Room (The Kasih Sayang 1 room)
  • 1 Drug Preparation room (The Kasih Sayang 2 room)
  • 1 Non-Sterile Room (The Harley Owners Group Jakarta Chapter Room)
  • 3 Isolation Treatment Room (The Budiarjo Room, the J. A. Sumendap room, the Jend. Purn. H. Achmad Tahir room)
  • 1 Non-Isolation Treatment Room (The B. Pramono Sungkono  room)

 * All of these were completed and officially inagurated on June 2, 2003 by the Chair of  

   ICCF`s Steering Board, Mrs. Linda Agum Gumelar, and Cipto Mangunkusumo   

   General Hospital President Director, Dr. Merdias Almatsier, SP.S(K).

* All equipment in the above rooms were provided through donations from the Planet  

   Hollywood Jakarta.

 

   At the moment, we are renovating the one-day care room which was made possible through donations from the Ladies of Harley, Harley Owners Group Jakarta Chapter, in the Paediatric Ward, DR. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital.
